Kodagu (Coorg) is one of the most picturesque hill districts of South India. Essentially a “coffee country”, some the worlds finest coffees are produced here in Kodagu. Besides this honey, cardamom, pepper and oranges are also produced here on a large scale.

This land is said to have produced some of the best Generals and able men for the Coutnrys armed forces. Kodavas, the beautiful natives of Coorg are well known for their bravery, patriotism and hospitality. Madikeri or Mercara as it is also known as is the headquarters of the Kodagu district.
